digital progress?

so, i'm on this crash-course of learning manga studio...pain in the arse at the moment...i don't have patience with something i can normally do in half the time on paper...and i'm not sure about results yet...but i think if i can get through this...

some progress?

the tones are cool...and i'm starting to get the mechanics of the whole thing...it's mostly a test of wills at this point...manga studio seems to be a very good drawing program for the money...the fact that i could afford it alone makes it worth trying...i just have to get better at using my wacom tablet...now if i can scan my image in and edit in ms...that may be my work-around...

til the next one

digital art?

so, i got manga studio 5 for christmas...there is a bit of a learning curve...it doesn't seem to be any more complicated to use than photoshop.  I'm discovering (hopefully it's just an initial problem) that i really don't like to draw digitally...i scan my pages in and edit digitally.  i have a wacom pad that i use, which is still better than using a mouse, but i find it frustrating to use...looking up at a screen and drawing down on the desk is very disjointed in my opinion...maybe the cintiq would be up my alley, you know when i can afford $2500...you never know, right?
